Raney is our resident lash stylist. You’ll catch her in the back room with her super zoom glasses transforming short, lifeless lashes into long, natural looking, attention grabbing ones. Whether it’s applying make-up or lash extensions, her attention to detail exceeds clients’ expectations every time. In partnership with WAX Raney is offering her un-paralleled talent for lash extensions as one of only 35 certified stylists in the state of Georgia. Applying eyelash extensions requires masterful skill, dedication, patience and talent. Outside of enhancing her clients natural beauty Raney enjoys spending time cooking, hiking, and exploring Atlanta with her husband John. Things you would save in a fire: My two cats, shoes, KitchenAid Mixer…
First job: The morning shift at McDonalds. (Sigh)
Skincare routine: I have my bathroom stocked with pre-cleansing oil, face wash, toner, serums, day creams, night creams, eye creams, sunscreen, masks, and exfoliators. One to three of these make it on my face morning and night.
Most embarrassing moment: This could not possibly be answered here and can be found in chapters 5-8 of my upcoming memoir.
Three things you can’t live without. My hubby’s shoulder rubs, long walks in the woods and ibuprofen.

Misty is a graduate of The Esani Institute in Atlanta. She is WAX’s lead esthetician and specializes in Brazilians. Misty loves the immediate satisfaction of waxing. In her words she “doesn’t want to be good at everything she wants to be amazing at a few things.” Bikini design is one of those things – she has had many designs pass her way from flags to initials. In addition to bikini design she is also skilled at designing a great brow through waxing or threading. To add to the allure of the eye created through a great brow, Misty studied abroad at The London Makeup Academy and is a skilled make up artist. Misty is known as the “Gentle Waxer”. From her soft voice to her soothing hands everything about her is calm and quiet…But we know better – those hands have waved about in the air while regaling us with tales of a life well lived and embarrassing moments that we had to swear not to print here….

Leela is our magnificent manager and graphic designer extraordinaire. She’s the person you talk to when you book your appointments and who often helps to squeeze you in for those last minute waxing emergencies. On top of that she’s also Myka’s assistant which pretty much makes her queen of everything… As Manager, Leela fulfills a wide range of duties at WAX, including making sure every client has a fabulous waxing experience from the moment they set foot in the door! While she has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Leela has always had a passion for visual arts and graphic design. When she’s not busy providing excellent customer service, running errands or designing graphics for WAX, Leela indulges in reading fashion magazines, cooking and snuggling with her beloved French bulldog Maebe.
If you could have anyone be your personal stylist, who would it be? The ghost of Alexander McQueen in collaboration with Stella McCartney. I need the edgy combined with elegance.
3 things that people wouldn’t necessarily know about you: 1) I was born in a church 2) my nickname is ‘Bear’ 3) I hate blue cheese.
